Three tools for shipping iOS apps.

BannerGuard, AdLens and RetentionKit are free, ad-supported and account-free. Each one does a single job, keeps your data on the device, and stays out of the way while you work.

About downloads. We send App Store links directly rather than embedding store badges on this site. Email admin@applaud-ads.com with the product name and we will send the current App Store or TestFlight link. Beta places are limited and reviewed by hand.

02 · Revenue

AdLens

Ad revenue, without the spreadsheet fog.

Most indie developers read revenue in three places: an ad network, a spreadsheet and a note on their phone. AdLens collapses that into one timeline. Enter daily impressions and revenue by hand, or import a CSV export, and the app works out eCPM, estimated ARPDAU and week-over-week change.

Shipping iOS 16+ No account Free with ads

What it does

  • Keeps a daily log of impressions and revenue for up to eight placements per app.
  • Imports CSV exports with a mapping you control and can reuse.
  • Calculates eCPM, estimated ARPDAU and 7- and 28-day comparisons.
  • Sends one optional local reminder on days you have not logged.
  • Locks the app behind Face ID if you want the numbers kept private.

Advertising in this app

A single banner below the summary. No interstitial between entries, no ad blocking the numbers, and no subscription. You can use the full app without ever watching an ad.

What it is not

A real-time dashboard. AdLens does not connect to your Google or Meta accounts and fetches nothing automatically; it is a notebook that does the arithmetic.

03 · Cohorts

RetentionKit

Retention checkpoints, minus the warehouse.

RetentionKit is for the stage before a data team: you have daily counts and three questions. Are people coming back on day 1, day 7 and day 30 — and did the last release change that? Import an export, group installs into weekly cohorts, and compare two releases side by side.

Closed beta iOS 17+ Invite by email No ads in beta

What it does

  • Defines D1, D7 and D30 checkpoints for a single app or a small portfolio.
  • Groups installs into weekly cohorts and plots the return rate for each window.
  • Imports CSV exports from common analytics tools; column mapping stays local.
  • Compares one release against the previous one, with the raw counts visible.
  • Exports a one-page summary as a PDF for a build note or a partner update.

Advertising in this app

None during the closed beta. If RetentionKit ships publicly, it will be free with a single banner on the summary screen — and this page will say so before the build changes.

What it is not

An attribution tool or a data warehouse. It does not track users across apps or websites, and it does not guess at numbers your export does not contain.

Compare

The line, at a glance.

One app checks layouts, one keeps the revenue numbers straight, one watches retention. None of them overlaps with the others on purpose.

Business model

Free tools, capped advertising.

Every app is free to use. The ad load is deliberately low, and the data needed to serve an ad is kept to what the ad partners require.

Read the Privacy Policy

What we keep low

  • At most one banner on a working screen.
  • No interstitial between steps in a task.
  • No forced video, no ads styled as system dialogs.
  • No subscription prompt dressed up as a close button.

What we don't sell

  • Your project files or revenue entries.
  • Personal information, to anyone.
  • Rankings or reviews inside our apps.
  • “Remove ads” access that changes what data is collected.

Questions

Before you ask.

A few practical answers. Anything else goes to the inbox on the contact page.

Do the apps require an account or a sign-in?

No. None of the three apps has an account system, a cloud sync or a login wall. Everything you enter stays on the device unless you export it yourself.

Where is my data stored, and what happens if I delete the app?

Locally, inside the app’s own storage. We do not operate a sync service and cannot read your entries. Deleting the app removes that data; a device backup may keep a copy according to your iCloud or computer backup settings.

Why are the apps free?

Advertising pays for the work. BannerGuard and AdLens show a single banner on a summary or results screen; there are no subscriptions and no paid tiers. RetentionKit has no ads during its closed beta.

Do the apps collect my advertising identifier?

Only through the ad partners described in the Privacy Policy, and only within platform rules. On iOS, cross-app tracking requires your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the apps still work and may show contextual ads.

How do I get a build link?

Email admin@applaud-ads.com with the product name. We send App Store links directly, plus TestFlight invitations for RetentionKit when a beta place is open.

Are the apps available on iPad or Mac?

They are iPhone-first. BannerGuard and AdLens run on iPad in compatibility mode; RetentionKit is iPhone-only during the beta. None of them is a Mac app.

One line is enough. We will send the current link and, if something is broken, a real answer from the person who built it.
